EVERYDAY LAPTOPS & GAMING LAPTOPS

Let’s get your laptop working again

Tell us the make, model and symptoms. We assess laptops from major brands including Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer and MSI, and confirm the repair options and parts available for your particular device.

01 / SCREEN & KEYBOARD

Damaged screen or keyboard?

Cracks, flickering, lines on the display or keys that no longer respond? We check the fault and quote for a suitable screen or keyboard replacement.

We can also assess damaged hinges and casing, explaining the parts needed for a secure repair.

02 / BATTERY & CHARGING

Won’t charge or hold power?

A worn battery, faulty charger and damaged charging socket can cause similar symptoms. We assess the power problem before recommending the right repair.

Ask about laptop battery replacement and charging-port repairs for your model.

03 / STARTUP & COOLING

Won’t start, or running hot?

Unexpected shutdowns, loud fans, freezing and a laptop that will not switch on all need careful diagnosis.

We investigate hardware and cooling faults, and assess liquid damage before explaining the available repair route.

DESKTOPS & ALL-IN-ONE COMPUTERS

PC problems, clearly explained

No power or no picture

We investigate PCs that will not start, display faults and unexpected restarts. Testing helps identify the failed component before replacement parts are agreed.

Windows faults & crashes

Startup errors, freezing and recurring crashes can come from software or hardware. We assess the cause and discuss suitable Windows repair or reinstallation options, including the implications for your files.

Slow performance & storage

Long loading times and storage problems do not always mean you need a new computer. We check the system and explain whether repair, a compatible SSD or additional memory would help.

SSD & RAM upgrades

Ask about faster storage, more capacity or additional memory. We check compatibility and discuss any data transfer needed before quoting. Upgrade options depend on the device’s design.

CLEAR COSTS BEFORE REPAIR

Assessment first. Your approval next.

If we can confidently confirm the required repair at drop-off, no diagnostic fee is added. If the cause is uncertain or further testing is needed, your computer is booked in for a diagnostic assessment.

We explain our findings, available repair options and the quote before you decide. Any prices displayed online are indicative and may change with parts costs; we confirm the price before agreed repair work begins.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Laptop & PC repair questions

How much will my laptop or PC repair cost?

The cost depends on the model, fault and parts required. Where the fault needs investigation, a £25 diagnostic assessment applies and is deducted from the repair total if you proceed. If the repair is confidently confirmed at drop-off, no diagnostic fee is added. Online prices are indicative and subject to changes in parts costs; we confirm your quote before repair work begins.

How long will the repair take?

The timescale depends on diagnosis, the repair and parts availability. We give you an expected turnaround once we have assessed the device. Tell us if you have a deadline when arranging your visit.

Should I back up my files first?

If your computer works normally enough to make a backup, do so before bringing it in. Tell us about important files without a backup, especially if the drive is failing or the computer will not start. We discuss any work that could affect your data before proceeding.

What should I bring with my computer?

For a laptop, bring its charger and tell us the make, model and symptoms. For a desktop or all-in-one, contact us first so we can advise which cables or accessories are needed. Do not send passwords through the booking form; we will explain any access needed for testing.

Is it worth repairing or upgrading an older PC?

We compare the fault, likely repair cost and available upgrade options with how you use the computer. A compatible SSD or memory upgrade can be useful, but the best choice depends on the condition and capabilities of your system.

Can you repair gaming PCs and custom-built systems?

Yes, we assess gaming PCs and custom-built desktops. Share the specifications if you have them, the symptoms and any recent hardware changes so we can plan the assessment.

Do you also repair MacBooks and iMacs?

Yes. Visit our MacBook & iMac Repairs page for Apple computer repair options.

What warranty is included?

Repairs include a three-month warranty, subject to terms. We explain the coverage for the agreed repair when you book.
